Christmas Parade

I wanted to share some pictures from a good old-fashioned, small town Christmas parade that we went to the Sunday after Thanksgiving! I just love parades like this.

We have the ubiquitous fire truck entry.

Ponies.

A tractor, of course. This is the Midwest!

A very impressive elk! The kids were all oohing and ahhing over him.

And last, but not least, Santa!!

Marianna-
Where was the parade? I adore parades, especially the small town variety.

I left you a message on your stocking post but it still hasn't shown up?! I know I've not been getting a lot of my blogger emails for some reason either.

The ribbon came from Target but not by the Christmas stuff. It was with the regular gift wrap and gift bags.

I also feel your pain about the dollar store kind of plastic junk. I've stopped buying that kind of filler too. One of things I'm putting in my girls stockings are farm animal chopsticks from The Wild. My girls love them and wore their last ones out. Also Handels has ice cream cone coins that I've put in their stockings before. Jen

Ohhhhh... what a nice parade!

I love your stocking idea. We got gift certificates for the girls too, this year: $5.00 ea. for the Goodwill Bookstore.

I agree, it's much better to find things they'll actually USE! :)

How fun! I'll bet Santa and the elk were very exciting!
