Share Your Week-Five Minute Friday

O.K. so it's Saturday, not Friday...life you know.

Once again Gypsy Mama's Five Minute Friday writing prompt. This week it's "share your week"

Start:

This week started with a major warm-up over last week. And with the ability to finally leave the house after five days! I'm probably the only one in my family who enjoyed being stuck at home for five whole days. The kids were excited to get back to school on Monday. It was the first day back for my daughter's teacher after a three month maternity leave. She was happy to have her regular teacher, although the sub was fabulous (I think I might have liked the sub more than L did.) Then, unbelieavably for Dallas, we got a second round of sub-freezing temperatures with ice and snow resulting in yet another missed day of school on Wednesday. Honestly, the kids have missed more days of school due to weather in the three years we've been in Texas than they did in five years in Indiana-you know, where it actually snows! Seriously, I'm thinking an investment in a few dump trucks and plenty of ice melt would be worthwhile for our little community. The only reason everything shut down for a day and a half was due to about 1/2" of ice. Seriously, a 1/2" of ice!

Stop.

We have had "lots" of snow and ice here in TN too. Schools close if they even forecast snow :)

I like to be snowed in too!

Thanks for reaching out to me the other day...and do you believe both girls feel asleep at "quiet" time - which meant for a late night. Yawn.

We are starting to see green grass here - the snow is melting quick.

Happy Love Day!
